Fun fact: I used to work at the Florida Aquarium and almost got married there but they don’t allow dogs.

Shout out to my husband for being my biggest supporter!

I’m terrible at introducing myself and writing about me’s, I almost paid someone to do it for me, but here it is in my own words.

Hello!

I'm Crystal, I’ve always had a camera in my hand but after high school my dream was to be a full time wedding photographer. I shot my first wedding in 2011 and that’s what led me into wanting a Photo Booth. My first photo booth was made out of wood and I used a very slow printer that disconnected from the wifi (a lot). It wasn't the best photo booth out there but it worked and I got a ton of great photos with it. I'm grateful that I learned so much working those events but I definitely needed a better set up. I decided to stop doing wedding photography and focus on my photo booth as it's own.

That's when I discovered the Salsa booth and I knew I found my next big purchase. But before I could buy it and re-launch my photo booth business, covid hit. One by one my brides called me to let me know they cancelled their wedding. It was heartbreaking because not only did this mean I had to put my plan on hold but I was also engaged and planning my own wedding. We had to cancel our wedding three times before we finally settled on a date in 2022.

We planned to use my (old) photo booth at my engagement party and my wedding but the set up took so long that I didn't have time to design a photo strip, set up the booth, printer, and get ready for my events. The set up was so complicated that I couldn't train someone to do it for me and this was a HUGE disadvantage because I didn't hire a photographer for my engagement party. I thought it would be fun to take all the photos with disposable cameras, but I still have yet to send them out to be developed and it's been almost two years. The disposable cameras cost $24 each and we bought six. Then it costs about $15 each roll to develop. That doesn't include cost of prints either. At that point you might as well hire a professional.

So that's what we did for my wedding. We hired a great photo/ video team for our wedding but we changed the timeline to get more "getting ready" shots and they missed most of my reception. That means I barely got photos of my guests. In my opinion this is exactly why photo booths play such an important role when it comes to documenting your guests at any event. I missed out on having those awesome, silly and fun candid photos of my guests. Some of these people are friends or family members I haven't seen in YEARS, and I have no photos of them. If I had my photo booth set up at my reception I would have photos of all my guests because I know only a small portion of them actually saw our guest book and signed it. This is why I want to help you document those memories in a fun and memorable way. I don't want you to loose those moments.

Should you hire me for your event? Yes!
